Q. There are more than 1000 files with different names but the same text.
I wanted to replace the text in all these files.
I have several fileA's that need to be replaced with the content from fileB.

A.
There are many fileA.txt that should be replaced by fileB.txt, i.e
fileA111.txt by fileB.txt
fileA222.txt by fileB.txt
fileA333.txt by fileB.txt
etc. ?

If it true, you can do next:
1. Copy all files fileAxxx.txt in separate folder (Please do it to prevent lose your data !!! )

2. Open this folder in RapidQ Search and Replace
Press the "Folder" button

to explore and select the folders.

3. Select or type mask of the files fileAxxx.txt to show its on the
Folders panel.
If all files has extension txt you can use *.txt mask
In right panel you should see list of files fileAxxx.txt

4. Double click on file from this list to load it into editor. Text will be
appeared in central panel - text editor.
5. Left click on editor - in popup menu choose "Select all" - al text must
be selected. (or use another way to select all text)
6. Left click on editor - in popup menu choose "Add selected to search
cell" - in first cell in Search column must be appeared selected text.
7. Now you need to fill out Replace cell.
The same way - load fileB.txt in build-in editor - select all- in popup menu
choose "Add selected to Replace cell" - in first cell in Replace column must
be appeared selected text.
8. check row in second column, set object - block, mode - replace (by default it set automatically)
Now it's ready.
9. Press "Start" button (righ bottom), press OK in popup prompt.
Process begin. In log editor (bottom window) - you can see result.

RQ Search and Replace is easy to use text replacement utility for Windows.

Search and replace (multistring) text blocks, whole words, "enclosed blocks", Html tags and attributes.
